We do not sell, license, or share your screenplay content with third parties. You retain full ownership and copyright of all material you upload.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service, subject to confidentiality agreements.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information and screenplay analyses for as long as your account is active. You may delete your screenplays and account data at any time. Upon deletion, your files and associated data are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. First 10 Pages Free Trial

The ScriptLens First 10 Pages Test is a free trial that analyses only the opening ten screenplay pages of an uploaded PDF. The following privacy practices apply specifically to this trial:

  • Only the opening ten screenplay pages are analysed during the free trial. If a title or cover page is detected, it is excluded from the ten pages.
  • The screenplay PDF is transmitted securely to a protected ScriptLens backend function and processed transiently. It is not added to ScriptLens file storage.
  • The screenplay text is not retained after the analysis is completed. Only the validated analysis result, scoring information, screenplay title and page references are stored in your account.
  • A protected network identifier is temporarily retained for fraud prevention. This is an HMAC-SHA256 hash of your network address using a secure backend secret. The raw network address is not stored in the trial ledger.
  • Fraud prevention records are automatically removed after 90 days.
  • If you encounter a shared network restriction (for example, from a shared household, university, writing group, or production company), you may contact us at scriptlensapp@gmail.com to request access.
